JKSA Membership

About the club

The Jersey Kitesurfing Association (JKSA) is the BKSA affiliated Club for Jersey. The club has formed links with the local authorities and helped to establish the sport successfully in the island since 2003. It boasts a growing membership of kiters of all abilities, and we always welcome new members.

Why join?

It is the law in Jersey that local riders should be registered with Jersey Harbours and have full liability insurance. Joining us via the BKSA takes care of both of these in one hassle-free way as you will then have 3rd-party insurance and we will pass on your details to the harbour office on your behalf.

New members will also receive a welcome pack with a JKSA-branded T-shirt and 2 car/board stickers!

All members can also have their own JKSA email address if they want.

How to join

You do this from the BKSA website. Just click here, choose 'Individual BKSA Membership' and then select 'Jersey Kitesurfing Association' from the club drop-down list. The current cost is £38 (2010).

Please note that you can join the BKSA alone which will cost you £33 (£5 less). However you will then have to register with Jersey Harbours yourself and will not then be eligible for the JKSA welcome pack.

Once you have received your membership card from the BKSA please email richie@jerseykitesurfing.co.uk with your membership number and expiry date. Also include your address and t-shirt size (small, medium or large) so that you can be sent your welcome pack.

Renewing

The BKSA now have the facility to renew membership by logging on with your existing account. If you do not yet have a username (for instance if you joined or renewed before April 2010) you will have to join again in the above manner ie click here, choose 'Individual BKSA Membership' and then select 'Jersey Kitesurfing Association' from the club drop-down list.
